In the coming weeks, the City of Sioux Falls will introduce a proposal to change the way it charges for wastewater infrastructure capacity and expansion. The proposal is to replace the current one-time Cost Recovery Fee, which is based on land area and collected at platting, with a one-time Wastewater System Capacity Charge that is based on a property’s capacity or use of the wastewater system and collected when a water meter is purchased from the City. The proposed change would occur over a 10-year transition period. Join us to learn about why the change is needed and how it supports our community’s future growth and development.
