Safety Series - Fall Protection; Comp...

Description

Fall Protection Competent Person Training
OSHA requires a competent person to be identified whenever there is work being done that involves fall hazards, scaffolding, excavations or confined spaces. A competent person is someone who has knowledge of the hazards and measures to control exposure to hazards, as well as the authority to stop work should a hazard be recognized.

This course covers recognition of fall hazards, when to have fall protection, and implementation of fall protection systems.  In addition, it is designed to help workers master the critical areas of choosing the most effective fall protection system for their specific job and using it correctly.  Employees who are charged with all aspects of fall prevention should attend this class.
